CT SCAN AND DR. APPOINTMENT UPDATE

Hi everyone,
Hope all is well. I went for my CT Scan on March 6 and bloodwork. I went back for the results on March 9. The scan showed all lumps were gone except one very small one under my armpit. He said the treatments went very well and we will watch and wait with this lump that remains. I was riddled with the lymphoma in both armpits, shoulders, groin, jaw, stomach, and chest so I think it’s good news and he didn’t offer more treatment. I will be doing the Rituxan treatment every couple of months now. That’s my update and I felt the worst this treatment out of all the treatments I had, very weak, tired, and I still feel out of sorts…maybe no prednisone for that extra up feeling every three weeks. I hjope I feel better soon:)
Take care and thanks for reading in advance,
Doreen

That is such great news! I’m so happy that almost all of them are gone, that is great news. The hard part is over now and only gets better from here. Take care and congratulations!
Roger

 Thanks,
I’m glad to hear the hard part is over:) I’ll keep everyone posted gtood or bad, hopefully good lol.
Take care,
Dreen

I think this is definitely good news! i have to also say that I am finding that it takes a really long time to get fully over the effects of treatment. I’m still having problems with neuropathy and muscle pain from the last chemo I was on, and it’s been about a year. Things are better, but it’s progressing slowly. Hopefully, it will go faster for you! Hugs and wishes for quick healing-Ann

Thanks and hugs back:) I’m grateful for the posts, reading real life experiences gives so much info.
Take care, hope you feel stronger soon,
Doreen

Yeah! Great news! I have had to learn patience in the energy department..it will happen..but..soooo happy for you! What a relief! Congratulations and onward! Love you! Hope today is a wonderful day! Sending healing prayers!

 Thanks,
I’ve been tryiong to keep up on your posts, you are so informative and insirational…I’ll try to be patient too:)
Take care,
Doreen

Congratulations to you Doreen! I hope you continue to feel better soon!
Take Care,
Jeff

Thanks…I feel not so good yet but on a positive note I’m glad the chemo is over…starting Rituxan on April 4th, thyey say it keeps it at bay.
Take care,
Doreen

This is wonderful news! Rituxan is supposed to be excellent for keeping follicular lymphomas in check. When do you start that regimen? I was told Rituxan alone does not have many side effects. It just takes forever to infuse and I guess they make you take Benadryl in case of allergic reaction. I will be starting on it (again) myself in July, but for rheumatoid arthritis instead of cancer treatment. I felt better and better after my last chemo but could not say that I felt like I was getting back to normal until the year mark. You will get there. I will pray that that little lump under your armpit stays asleep and that the Rituxan keeps it that way. Take care and congrats on your good results!

Thank you, I wasn’t sure what to expect…all the information is gtreatly appreciated. My last treatment made me feeling the worst of all the treatments, I’m so weak and many aches, and very hard to breathe. I’m hoping for some improvement but I’m gratful for not having to run to chemo every three weeks. Hope the rituxan helps your arthritis too.
Take care,
Doreen

Sorry I didn’t get back to you sooner. I am so happy to hear that you are doing well, and that your scan came out well too. I understand how you feel, my last two treatments were just awful…I am back to work, but I am not half as strong as I used to be…very week, and very tired all the time.My breathing is the worst for me, I can’t seem to do much before I have to sit down..wow.. We just have to hope to get stronger, and stronger….
Stay well,
Claudya

7th and 8th Chemo completed 8th was my last

Hi everyone,
Just an update that I have finally completed my 7th and final 8th Chemo treatment. I had a couple of lung infections inbetween, slowed things down but thankfully I was able to get through the 8th. I feel pretty rough from being hard to breathe, it seems this time is the worst of all, but otherwise ok, just the usual after chemo feeling prednisone crash etc…I go for my CT scan on March 6th and see the Oncologist on March 9th. My 4th CT scan looked great so I’m hoping it will be ok for my 8th as well. It’s been quite the journey so far, I hope it gets a little better, from other post it seems like it will get better:)I had prednisone for over a month high dosage so that might make me feel a bit worse than normal hopefully.
I hope everyone is doing well and thanks to everyone for their ongoing support.
Take care,
Doreen

Jeff sent you a prayer.
Fred sent you a hug.

Congratulations Doreen! Yeah! So happy for you! Life is going to get better. You will get your energy and appetite back. No more prednisone crashes and infections! Congratulations on your CT results too! I hope you are having a good day! A lot to celebrate! You did it! Sending you prayers of healing and peace being sent your way! I am so happy for you!

Thanks so much, feeling good, hard to believe I don’t have to run this week for picc line care, I can get back to my old routine:)
Take care,

Hooray! Congrats on finishing chemo! I hope things just get better and better for you. Take care.

Thanks:) I’m feeling better and can’t believe there was an end to the chemo finally!
Take care,
Doreen

I’m having my next scan that week too. May we both have good results! hugs-Ann
PS I hope your doc is tapering you off that prednisone, it can be very dangerous to stop a high dose abruptly.

Thanks very much…I wish you the best of luck too on your scan, it’s a bit of a wait but time seems to fly by.
Also, they never taper me off the prednisone, and I just hate cutting it off cold turkey, and this time I was on it twice (50mg)during the 3 week wait for chemo for my lung infection and then right to my chemo prednisone(100mg)so I’m a bit of a jitterbug still:)
Take care,
Doreen

WAY TO GO….GOOD FOR YOU. Doesn’t it feel good to know that you have that behind you. The toughest job you’ve ever done. Now just get your lungs back in shape. Its taken me a while,
Happy for you,
Stay well,
Claudya

Excellent news Doreen! Congratulations. Sending you prayers that your follow up CT Scan goes well too!
Take Care
Jeff
